OAKWOOD VILLAGE RETIREMENT COMMUNITY
Madison, WI
New Facility
55,000 GSF
The Retirement Community determined the need for a new facility providing intermediate level care in a residential setting. The existing campus lacked an accessible, modern environment that could provide assistance with dining, bathing, and minor medical needs.
The new building is sited to provide a physical connection between the Nursing Home and the Village Center. The entry level contains the administrative space, with a tunnel connection to the Nursing Home, and a bridge connection to the Village Center. Above are two residential levels containing living units, staff, elevators and support functions.
The facility offers physical connection, medical care, and a distinctive living environment, which the residents can now call home.
