The purpose of the project was to design an undergraduate classroom, auditorium and faculty to meet the needs of a small University campus located on a pedestrian mall.
Project solutions and highlights include:
A free standing sunscreen, with limestone trim and flanking walls of matching face brick to provide contextual reference and common scale to the existing library.
Flexible, interconnected classrooms, media laboratories, and faculty offices were developed in simple clusters at the mall level and lower levels to facilitate access and rearrangement.
