Design Philosophy
BWZ offers a successful portfolio of projects, with more than 35 years of experience
in academic facilities for the state of Wisconsin, as well as other clients.
Our design philosophy is project specific. Each project has its own requirements,
and the primary mission of the design team is to respond creatively to these
unique circumstances. Issues, including flexibility, future growth, and phasing,
are often critical in successful long range planning.
BWZ prides itself on being recognized as a design oriented firm, having
received over 35 local, state, and national
design awards
from the American Institute of Architects for their work.
Many of these awards commend BWZ's
projects for sensitievly relating an addition to an existing context, and
creatively solving functionally and techinically complex problems.

Project Management
Succesful projects result from effective project management and open, direct
communication between architect and client. The implementation of quality design
is dependent on sound management of all the design and construction activities.
Our managment process is based on our recognition of the Owner's key role and
our commitment a continuous, integrated process, from initial planning and design
through construction completion.
